The Town of Walkersville in cooperation with the Walkersville Volunteer Rescue Company #24 and Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company #11 will be a holding shred event this Saturday, September 5th at the parking lot of Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company (79 West Frederick Street)
The event starts at 9:30 am and ends when either the two shred trucks are full (or noon) whichever occurs first.
We are limiting this to 4 Boxes per vehicle, and we are asking a donation of $5 per box that will be donated to the Rescue and Fire Companies since their fundraising efforts have been greatly affected by the pandemic.
WE KINDLY ASK THAT YOU PLEASE NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 9:30 a.m. This is so we can have the site all set up and ready to go. We are also letting everyone know that you will not be allowed on the Fire company grounds until 9:30 a.m.
What is ok to shred – staples, rubber bands, and paper clips.
What is NOT ok or UNACCEPTABLE – Newspaper, magazines, recyclable paper, already shredded paper, CDs, DVDs, X-Rays,
3-ring binders, cardboard, or trash.
