The water rates below are for water consumption beginning October 1, 2016; rates are subject to change with public notice. Call the Town Office to verify the current water rates.

*A $50 assessment will be added to water bills, per billing cycle, to offset the cost of the new water plant. This is set to sunset December 2023, at which time, the special assessment will be reassessed.
Water Billing
Water Meters are read on April 1st and October 1st of every year. Bills are mailed May 1st and November 1st. Payment is expected within 30 days of the billing date. Interest accrues at the rate of 1% per month on the outstanding balance. Failure to pay in a timely manner could result in water disconnection. There is a $100 cash reconnection fee during business hours; THERE ARE NO AFTER HOURS RECONNECTIONS.
If you have a question about your water bill, there are several things you should consider before calling the Town Office.
- If there is a significant increase, you could have a leak.
- Keep past bills so you can compare your usage from billing period to billing period.
- Have your account number ready.
- Your November bill will probably be higher than the one you received in May because it covers the summer months when water usage increases.
If you have difficulty paying your bill, please call the Town Office immediately to set up a payment plan. We will work out a payment schedule with you. You are subject to disconnection if your bill is not paid by the due date (i.e. bill dated 5/1 is due 6/1, bill dated 11/1 is due 12/1).

You may request a ONE TIME industrial rate recalculation of your water bill. You must fill out the form below but DO NOT sign the second page until you personally bring the completed form to Town Hall. A staff member must witness the attestation.
